THIBODAUX, La. -- Southern University softball offense struggled in a one hit, 3-0 loss against Nicholls State University Wednesday night on Swanner Field at Geo Surfaces Park.

Aubrion James got the nod in the circle pitched 4.1 innings, allowed seven hits, three runs (two earned). Tiara Scott came in relief pitched 1.2 scoreless innings, allowed no hits, and no runs.

Nicholls State struck out nine out of 23 at-bats.

Southern's Hope Kruebee was the lone Jaguar to record a hit. Jaslyn Perrodin hitting streak ended after four-games, her team-leading batting average dipped to .366.


Southern will travel to Pine Bluff, Arkansas to face the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff for a three-game series, starting with one game on Friday, first pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m., the series will conclude with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
