BATON ROUGE, La. | Due to inclement weather, the Southern softball team will not play this weekend versus Spring Hill College

The Jaguars' doubleheader versus Spring Hill College will not be made up.

Southern will be back in action March 2-3 in Oklahoma City in the 2nd Annual National HBCU Softball Classic hosted by Langston University. The tournament will be held at the ASA Hall of Fame Complex.

Year two of this historic event will expand and showcase 10 HBCU colleges and universities from across the country (Southern University, Langston, Huston-Tillotson, Talladega College, Texas Southern, Grambling State, Lincoln University, Texas College, Jackson State and Edward Waters University).

First pitch starts at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, March 2, when the Huston-Tillotson Rams take on Southern University on OG&E Energy Field. Each day will feature 10 games on two fields and for a total of 20 games for the tournament.

The classic will take part at the historic ASA Hall of Fame Complex which hosts the OSSAA high school state championship, the ASA/USA Slow Pitch Championship Series, the World Cup of Softball and the NCAA Women's College World Series.

Visitors can purchase a $15 weekend pass at the gate which gives them access to 20 games over the two-day period. Attendees can also purchase tickets individually per day for $10. Langston University students are free with a verified student ID.
