HAMMOND - The Southern University track and field team captured eight wins in Friday's dual meet against Southeastern Louisiana at Southeastern Track Complex in Hammond.  
Nia Williams made her first appearance in the 100-meter hurdles by taking first with a time of 14.92. Williams also took second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.19. 
Terralicia Mercadel got her first win of the outdoor season in the 400-meter dash with a time of 55:96. 
Raelynn Price got her second win of the outdoor season in the 800-meter with a time 2:17.96. 
Sydney Minor took first in the 1500-meter run for the second weekend in a row with a time of 4:51.73.
 Artis McCoy finished first in the 400-meter relay with a time of 47.56. This is McCoy's personal best in his collegiate career. 
Freshman Nicholas Scott took first in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:55.83.
Keshaun Javios finished captured his first win in the 1500-meter run in the outdoor season with a time of 4:17.99. 
The women's 4x400-meter relay team including; Raelynn Price, Ashley Miles, Terralicia Mercadel, and Tessa Tony continued their blaze from last week and took first against Southeastern with a time of 3:55.54. 
"Today was a really productive day and we're just excited on the direction that our team is headed in," said Head Coach Teremine White 
The Jaguars will travel to Austin, Texas on Wednesday, March 27 for the Texas Relays. The competition will start on Thursday, March 28 with the women's 400-meter hurdles prelims. Live Results will be available at
