SOUTHEASTERN, La- The Southern University Track and Field team opened up their outdoor season this at the Strawberry Relays held at  Southeastern Louisiana University. 
Several athletes produced personal records in today's meet. Jeremy Bass and Charles Clark in the hammer throw, Sydney Minor in the 1500-meter run, Keshaun Javios in the 5000-meter run, Kirkland Hills in the 400-meter dash, and Keenan Villery in the shot put. 
"Today was a very productive day in which six student-athletes had personal records," head coach Teremine White said. 
Freshman Sydney Minor resumed her strong indoor performance,  finishing first in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:56.38 and placed second in the 800-meters with a time of 2:22.48. 
Sophomore Raelynn Price finished first in the women's 800-meter run with a time of 2:21.09. 
Freshman Lawrenee Hart placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 11.64 meters (38'). 
Junior Keshuan Javious finished second in the 5000-meter run with a personal best time of 16:18.30. 
Junior Jeremy Bass took second in the hammer throw with a personal best throw of 51.59 meters. 
Freshman Kirkland Hills placed third in the 400-meter dash posting a personal best time of 49.18. Hill also ran the 200-meter dash and finished seventh with a time of 21.94.  
The Jaguars will be back on the track Saturday, March 9, traveling to Fort Worth, Tx for the second annual Jett Relays on at Herman Clark Stadium.
