Southern University participates in the 91st Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at the University of Texas and Texas State Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, Texas over the weekend.

Southern's 4x100 team Nia Williams, Camryn Hawkins, Vashti Hannah, Terralicia Mercadel finished 16th among 45 collegiate teams at the Texas Relays.

Southern men's and women's outdoor track and field teams were in action over the past three days at the Bobcat Invitational, hosted by Texas State University, at the Bobcat Track and Field Complex.

Jaguars Danae Colston ran a career-best 5:03 in the 1500m run.

Faith Estelle finished 7th with a throw of 47.98m

Alexandria McCoy threw a season-best 40.45m.

Terralicia Mercadel placed fifth in the 400m run with a time of 56.18.

Camryn Hawkins finished in eighth with a time of 11.99 seconds in the 100m dash.

On the Men's side, Amari Calvillio-Tatum finished 13th in the 400m.

Southern will be back in action Saturday, April 7 at the McNeese State Springtime Classic in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
