Jaguars Tie With Texas Southern

BATON ROUGE - Southern University soccer goes 0-3-1 in conference play Friday, October 11. After tieing with Texas Southern University, 1-1 at Jaguar Park. 

Southern goes (1-9-1, 0-3-1), Texas Southern goes (3-6-1, 2-1-1)

The Tigers got the lead early when Desiree Harte scored the first and only goal for her team making it 1-0 at the 2-minute mark. 

Not too long after the Jaguars answered by scoring. Bri'anna Schroeder scored allowing her team to be tied at the 15-minute mark. 

Southern outshot Texas Southern, 18-16, and posted 9-6 shots on target advantage. Goalkeeper, Alayna Grey had 5 saves out of 6 shots on goal. Grey recorded an entire 49-minutes in Friday nights game. The Jaguars had a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks.

The Jaguars will host Prairie View Sunday, October 13 at 1 p.m. at Jaguar Park.
