Wichita, Kansas -- Southern started fast Sunday afternoon against Wichita State but fell short 69-63 at the Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, Kansas.  

The Jaguars offense was led by Brittany Rose and Alyric Scott with 10 points each. Genovea Johnson and Amani McWain added 9 points. The Lady Jaguars played eleven players throughout the game with nine getting in the scoring column.

The Jaguars defense forced the Lady Shockers to 26 turnovers where they picked up seven fast-break points off turnovers. Freshman center Ravin White had a team-high eight rebounds and two blocks.

Wichita State's Mariah McCully led all scorers with 12 points and Raven Prince chipped in 10 points for the Lady Shockers.
