NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Southern University team falls 6-0 to in their second game of the season opener versus the Lady Jacks of Stephen F. Austin state university, at the SFA Soccer Field Friday night. 

Southern falls to (0-2, 0-0), Stephen F. Austin improves to (1-2, 0-0)

The Lady Jacks got out in front by scoring the first five goals in the first half, Katelyn Termini gave SFA a 2-0 lead at the 45-minute mark. Sophia Foudren then added to the lead at 41-minute mark making it 3-`0. 

Mattie Musser continued to advance the Lady Jacks at the 27-minute mark making it 4-0. Peyton Graves scores the last shot of the half at the 16-minute mark making the score at the end of the first half 5-0. 

Stephen F. Austin outshot Southern 34-4 and posted 13-2 shots on goal advantage. Sophomore goalkeeper Chioma Eriken had 7 saves and recorded 78-minutes of play. The Lady Jacks held a 12-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Stephen F. Austin continued to add to their lead in the second half when Sophia Fondren scored the sixth goal the 77-minute. 

"What we learned today is that we still have to keep our composure in the game," said head coach Jeremy Fontenot. 

The Jaguars will return to the field Thursday, September 5 when they continue their road trip to Lafayette, La to face the University of Lafayette at the Ragin' Cajun Soccer Facility.
