HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Soggy field conditions at Pete Taylor Park has forced Southern University’s midweek game at Southern Miss to move back a day, Southern Miss officials announced Monday morning.
The game, originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 5, is now slated for Wednesday, March 6, with a 6 p.m. start time.
Tickets for the Tuesday night game will be honored for the Wednesday contest.
Southern is coming off a split with Eastern Illinois in a modified four-game series during the 2019 home opening weekend at Lee-Hines Fields. Weather forced the Jaguars and Panthers to play consecutive double headers, including a day-night series finale on Saturday.
