BATON ROUGE, La.| Lauryn McKinney scored off a block to tie the game at two apiece versus University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions with two minutes left in regulation to send the game into overtime. Chioma Eriken and the Jaguars' defense did the rest recording two saves and defending three UAPB's corner kick to take the victory away from the Golden Lions and preserving a 2-2 tie, in Southwestern Athletic Conference play Sunday afternoon at Jaguar Park.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff grabbed the lead at the 28-minute mark when Rebecca Holmes got passed the defense and snuck one past the goalkeeper that connected to the far top-left corner of the net to take a 1-0 lead.

UAPB (1-2-2, 1-5-2) wasted no time regaining the lead when Holmes recorded her second goal ten seconds later to that lead, 2-1 with 18-minutes left in regulation.

Southern nor UAPB could not find the net in overtime ending the game in a 2-2 tie.

Southern is back in action Friday as they travel up Highway 61 to face Alcorn State Univesity Lady Braves (0-5, 0-10) in Lorman, Mississippi for a 4:00 pm match and will stay in Mississippi to face Mississipi Valley State University Lady Develettes Sunday for a 1:00 pm tilt.
