Ben Huver, a native of Riverton, Wyoming is entering his second season as the Assistant Director of Sports Medicine at Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge. He will primarily serve the as Football and Women’s Basketball Athletic Trainer.
Prior to his time at Southern University, Huver spent the 2015-2017 seasons at Colorado Christian University where he was the Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer primarily working with Women’s Volleyball and Baseball. He also worked with Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Track and Field, and Men’s and Women’s Tennis.
Huver graduated from Colorado Mesa University in 2015 with a Bachelor Degree in Athletic Training. In 2017, Huver graduated with his Master Degree in Organizational Leadership from Colorado Christian University.
Huver is CPR/AED certified, a Licensed Athletic Trainer in the State of Louisiana and Colorado, and a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
Ben currently resides in Baton Rouge with his wife, Rachel Huver, a nurse at Women’s Hospital in Baton Rouge
