Former Southern University guard Tre’lun Banks has been assigned to the Iowa Wolves of the NBA G-League, the team announced Tuesday.

Banks spent the last two months in the Mongolia Basketball Association, where the Shreveport native was named the player of the week after scoring 30 points in a playoff win.

Banks (6-1, 170) played in 133 games during his four-year career at Southern University, averaging 10.6 points, 3.2 assists and 2.7 rebounds per contest. The former Jaguar was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year in 2014 and Most Valuable Player during the SWAC conference tournament in 2016.
