Southern University outfielder Dondrayas Harris earned a second team selection on the 2016 Southwestern Athletic Conference baseball postseason honors.

The awards and All-SWAC team selections were voted on by the league's head coaches and Sports Information Directors.

A two-time SWAC Player of the Week, Harris led the Jaguars with a .361 batting average and

29 RBIs. The Gulf Coast Community College transfer has started and played in 37 games hitting 3 home runs and 11 doubles.

Harris crowning achievement arrived when the 5-11, junior hit for the cycle and went 5 for 5 at the plate in the Grambling series finale in Baton Rouge on April 10.

Harris leads Southern, the western division's fourth seed, into Wednesday first round game against Alabama State at the 2016 SWAC Baseball Tournament at Wesley Barrow Stadium. The Hornets, which finished the conference slate 24-0, landed nine players on the All-SWAC first team.
