Ashton Warner is in his second season as the Running Back Coach at Southern University.

Warner served for three years as a graduate assistant coach at Southern where he worked in many
capacities within the offense. During the 2016 season Warner served as the interim running back coach
where he worked very closely with Lenard Tillery the SWAC All-Time Leading Rusher.

A native of Baton Rouge, LA, Ashton was a 2008 graduate of Scotlandville High School where he was a
four year letterman in football. Due to an injury obtained in a car accident he decided not to play college
football. He became an assistant coach under former Southern University stand-out Landry Williams.
Ashton is a proud graduate of Southern University with a BA in History and a MA in Social Science where
he serves as an Adjunct Professor in History.
