Southern University women's basketball travels to take on Big 12 Conference foe Oklahoma State, Thursday, November 30th at 7 p.m.

In their previous outing, the Lady Jaguars' upset bid fell short in a 77-74 loss to the Wisconsin Lady Badgers. Samantha Duncan led the Jaguars in scoring with 17 points and six reblounds in 34 minutes of play. Sophomore guard Jaden Towner went 4-5 from behind the arc and finished the night with 16 points off the bench. As a team, the Lady Jaguars forced 21 turnovers and distributed 16 assists in the contest.

With 2:23 remaining in the contest Courtney Parson hit two huge free throws to give the Lady Jaguars a one point lead 74-73. The Lady Badgers called their final time out with :57 seconds remaining to set up a layup by Abby Laszewski to put them up by one 75-74 with :25 seconds left in the contest. After a missed jump shot and quick foul by the Lady Jaguars Cayla McMorris sealed lthe deal for the Lady Badgers hitting two free throws to put them up by four point with :02 seconds on the clock.

Thursday's game marks the second time the Lady Jaguars and Lady Cowgirls will face each other. Southern enters Thursday's game with a 1-2 record while Oklahoma State has posted a 6-1 record.

The Lady Cowgirls are coming off an impressive 10-point win over SEC powerhouse Tennessee 79-69 on the road. Oklahoma State is led by senior guard Loryn Goodwin, who is averaging 19.8 points per contest and senior center Kaylee Jensen leads the team in rebounds with 8.8 per rebounds a night.

Following the Oklahoma State tilt, Southern will head to Alabama to face Auburn on December 9th before traveling south to battle South Alabama on December 11th in Mobile, Ala. Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m. tipoffs.
