Southern University Volleyball (12-19 overall,12-6 conference) tops Grambling State University (10-22 overall, 4-13 conference) on the road.

What should have been an exciting Senior Night for the Tigers turned out to be the complete opposite as the Jaguars prevailed (25-23, 25-19, 25-21) in an epic SWAC matchup. 

Shelby Jolly (10) led the way in kills, followed by Arabella Hall (9) and Brianna Hawkins (6). Sameera Mohammed, Arabella Hall, and Brianna Hawkins combined for a total of 3 aces, while Arabella Hall, Jada Carter, and Princess Stark teamed up for a total of five blocks. Princess Stark recored 28 assists and Sameera Mohammed had four. Stark also had 12 digs, Mohammed had ten, and Hawkins had six.

The Jaguars will be headed to Itta Bena, MS to compete in the 2019 Volleyball SWAC Championship tournament starting Friday, November 22.
