Heavy rains in the Baton Rouge area has forced Southern University baseball to push back the start time of today's series opener against Eastern Illinois to a 4 p.m. start.

Southern is scheduled to play the first two games of a four-game series Friday at Lee-Hines Field before continuing with a noon game on Saturday and the series finale slated for 1 p.m.

Senior right-handed pitcher Justin Freeman will start for the Jaguars (4-3).
