Southern University senior wide receiver, Juamorris Stewart and junior safety, Jason House, have been named 1st team Black College Football All-Americans by Boxtorow.com/BASN, as chosen by selected members of the media that cover Black College Football.
Stewart, a senior Baton Rouge, was also named to the All-SWAC first team for the second consecutive season. Stewart was Lee's favorite receiver with 81 catches for 1,028 yards and 11 touchdowns.
House, a junior from Laurel, MS, led the SWAC and NCAA (FCS) with 10 interceptions and 230 yards in returns. The wide receiver turned defensive back, had one return for a touchdown.
The team is comprised of 27 of the top Black College Football players in the country.
Seniors Bryant Lee (QB) and Warren Matthews (TE) were named honorable mention BCF All-American by by Boxtorow.com/BASN.
Lee was named 1st team All-SWAC last week, and led the conference with 2,863 total yards. He was also the league's No. 1 passer for the third straight year, completing 207 of 345 passes for 2,565 yards and 24 touchdowns. He had 10 interceptions.
Matthews, a senior from New Orleans, had 27 catches for 434 yards and six touchdowns before bring injured in the first half of the State Farm Bayou Classic.
